Platforms Invites Talented Women Artists to 'Empower Her' Competition for Women's Day Celebration

Platforms invites talented female artists aged 16 and above to join the “Empower Her: Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress” art competition, as part of Bangladesh’s Women’s Day Celebration at Charukola on March 8th, 2024.

The centerpiece of the initiative is a competition and exhibition. Started from February 1st, artists are invited to submit their work for review by a panel of judges. Talented female artists aged 16 and above are encouraged to participate in the month-long art competition, “Empower Her: Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress.” the opportunity to submit up to three artworks, participants are urged to let their creations embody the profound strength, resilience, and creativity synonymous with women. The winners of the competition will receive significant cash prizes: the first-place winner will receive 1 lakh BDT, the second-place winner will be awarded 50,000 BDT, and the third-place winner will receive 25,000 BDT.

Organized by Platforms and Charukola, supported by UN Women Bangladesh and powered by ISHO, the competition is promoted through official channels and serves as a platform for connecting artists, activists, and organizations. Our Women’s Day celebration is more than just an event; it’s a heartfelt tribute to the remarkable achievements, strength, and contributions of women across diverse backgrounds. This gathering on the 8th of March 2024, will bring together a community of individuals who share a deep passion for empowering and honoring women in all spheres of life.
