Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Translator at The Dhaka Crawler, that will require the candidate to work on-site and off-site. The Translator will be responsible for translating written content from Bengali to English, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the intended meaning. The Translator will collaborate closely with writers and editors to ensure the translated content aligns with the magazine's style and tone. This role will be based in Dhaka, with flexibility for some remote work.

Skills

• Proficiency in multiple languages, including [English and Bengali]
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both the source and target languages
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain the original meaning, tone, and style of the content
• Strong research and comprehension skills to understand and accurately translate complex topics
• Experience with translation without the use of AI or translating softwares at least 5 years
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in translation or a related field is a plus
