On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Ekusher Shanskritik Utsob 2024 is hosted at Suhrawardy Udyan on the premises of Book Fair

After celebrating the golden jubilee of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), on the occasion of the honorable 21st February, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Bangladesh Group Theater Federation are jointly organizing an eight-day cultural festival  named as ‘Ekusher Shanskritik Utsob 2024’.

In the presence of visitors and readers who came to the Amar Ekushey Book Fair, the cultural festival is gaining popularity. In the event, honorable Secretary of the Academy Mr. Salahuddin Ahmed delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Mr. Ataur Rahman, Ekushey Medalist, was present as the chief guest. Chandan Reza, Secretary of Bangladesh Group Theater Federation was the special guest and Mr. Liaquat Ali Lucky, Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy presided over the occasion.

In his speech, the Director General said “February is the month of language movement, let us unite in this movement of culture and build Shaheed Minar in every country of the world. Not only in Bangladesh, Shaheed Minar should be built in many countries. We oppose murder in any country of the world. We think the killings in Palestine must stop immediately. Today, wherever people are oppressed in the world, Bangladesh will stand by them, the vast people of the country, poets and writers”

The eight-day Ekusher Shanskritik Utsob 2024 will continue till February 22, every day from 4 pm.
