16th Classical Music and Dance Festival: A Grand Celebration of Bangladesh's Cultural Heritage

Organized by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the 16th Classical Music and Dance Festival will be held from May 26 to 29, 2024, at the National Theatre Hall. The festival will begin each day at 6:30 PM, featuring renowned and emerging artists from across the country.

The inaugural ceremony will take place on May 26 at 6:30 PM. The chief guest will be the Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Mr. Khalil Ahmad. The welcome address will be delivered by Mr. Salahuddin Ahmed, Secretary of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, and the greeting speech will be given by Mr. Aftab Uddin Habul, Director of the Music, Dance, and Recitation Department. The event will be presided over by Mr. Liaquat Ali Lucky, Director General of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The festival aims to promote the practice and expansion of classical music and dance and to inspire young artists to engage in these traditional art forms. Organized by the Music, Dance, and Recitation Department, this festival plays a significant role in preserving and enhancing the nation’s cultural heritage.

Throughout the festival, various performances of classical music and dance will be presented. Both renowned and emerging artists will participate, providing an opportunity for the younger generation to gain a deeper understanding of classical music and dance and to refine their own talents.
