Fares for Maitree, Mitali, and Bandhan Express to Increase by Up to 305 Taka

From June 15, the fares for Maitree, Mitali, and Bandhan Express trains will increase by a minimum of 70 Taka to a maximum of 305 Taka. Bangladesh Railway (BR) will raise the fares for these three trains operating between Bangladesh and India starting June 15 to adjust with the dollar exchange rate. According to a notification signed by Md. Mihrabur Rashid Khan, Deputy Director (Interchange) of Bangladesh Railway, on May 15, the ticket prices for Maitree Express, Mitali Express, and Bandhan Express will increase by a minimum of 70 Taka to a maximum of 305 Taka.
As per the new fare list, the fare for an AC seat on the Dhaka-Kolkata Maitree Express will be 5,110 Taka, up from the current 4,900 Taka. The fare for an AC chair will be 3,740 Taka, up from the current 3,600 Taka.
On the Khulna-Kolkata route, the AC seat fare for Bandhan Express is being increased from 2,950 Taka to 3,055 Taka. The AC chair fare is being increased by 70 Taka to 2,370 Taka.
On the Dhaka-New Jalpaiguri route, the fare for an AC berth on the Mitali Express is set at 7,025 Taka, up from the current 6,720 Taka. The AC seat fare will be 4,520 Taka, up from the current 4,290 Taka. Similarly, the AC chair fare on the same route is being increased from 3,860 Taka to 4,015 Taka.
