Steadfast on its journey of light, Batighar Theater stands at the threshold of a new era. To mark this occasion, Batighar is organizing the Jugottirne Batighar Natya Utsab 2024 at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The three-day festival will be held from June 8 to 10. During Jugottirne Batighar Natya Utsab 2024, three of Batighar’s contemporary and audience-acclaimed plays will be staged. These include “Urnajaal,” “Monkey Trial,” and “Bhagoban Paliye Geche.”
On Saturday, June 8, the play “Urnajaal,” directed by Bakar Bakul, will be performed. On Monday, June 9, “Monkey Trial,” adapted and directed by Muktonil, will be staged. On Tuesday, June 10, the play “Bhagoban Paliye Geche,” written and directed by Muktonil, will be performed. Each play will be staged at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Shilpakala Academy at 7:15 PM.
Additionally, from 5 PM each day, there will be a rally by Batighar members, songs, performance art, and various installation arts in the Shilpakala premises.
